To enter scores and view results, log in using the username and password you were given when you entered the Shootout or the Jr Shootout.

If you don't have your username and password and are in one of the contests, contact dennis@texas-shootout.com.

Logging In

To log in, enter your username and password in the "Log In" box on the main page of our site. Once you've logged in, you should see two blue boxes. One should say "Material List" and the other "The Shootout". It's from this page you'll download materials, enter scores, and view results. If you've logged in and don't see what you expect, email greg@texas-shootout.com.

Entering Students

The first step to entering results is to add students to the list of students associated with your school. To do this, click the link "add students to your school" in "The Shootout" box. For each student you enter, you'll be asked to enter their first and last name, middle initial, and grade. (You need only supply a middle initial for a student if your school has two or more students with the same first and last name.) You need add a student only once to your school's student list even if the student is participating in mutliple events in the contest. You can delete a student or modify a student's name or grade after the student is entered by clicking on the "modify students" link.

Adding Students to Events

Once a student has been added to the list of students associated with your school, you can add the student to an event. To do this, click the link "add students to this event" next to the event in "The Shootout" box. A page with a list of your school's students will be displayed and you can pick which ones to add to the event. You can remove a student from an event from the page for editing students' scores.

Entering Scores

Once you've added students to an event, you can enter and modify their scores by clicking on the "edit scores" link next to the appropriate event.

Viewing Results

After enough scores have been entered, we'll start displaying results. To view results, just click on one of the links next to "Results" under the appropriate event. Results are displayed in the following ways: individual overall team results by grade level by school classificaiton for your school only
