The Shootout -- Rules and Information
General
- Give the test for your event at a time of your choosing within the dates for the round.
- Grade the tests at your campus.
Do not send the tests or the scores to me.
Go to the website to enter your scores.
Your contact person has the userword/password.
If questions arise, email me at dennis@texas-shootout.com.
- After the third round in each event, the first alternate test will be made available.
This test can be administered to all contestants and its score can replace ONE lower test score in the first three rounds for those who have all three scores.
Or, it can fill in ONE missing score for contestants who were not able to take all of the first three rounds.
Take as quickly as possible after the third round is over (see the calendar).
- There are 6 rounds to the Shootout.
The lowest score will be dropped.
But students must have at least five scores.
Enter all scores and the lowest will be automatically dropped at the end.
- Any student entering after the second round of the Shootout may still compete, but only in the category of Best New Recruit, since he/she will have four scores at the most.
- In each event, teams will compete for highest average.
Teams consist of the top three students from your school and do not have to be designated.
